Schnaps is traditionally enjoyed at around 15-20 degrees C to allow the fruit aromas to shine. Refrigeration will cause a dulling of the aroma and will also make the Schnaps a little cloudy due to the richness of naturally occurring oils from the mango.
If your Mango Heart is cloudy at room temperature, never fear! We make a point of never filtering our Schnaps so you can enjoy the beautiful aromatic particles that make our Schnaps so unique. You may even see a few specks of these naturally occurring oils floating around when the Schnaps is held up against the light.
Traditionally Schnaps is enjoyed as a digestive following a meal, however the lightness of our Mango Heart also makes it a great aperitif.
It is said that the quality of a Schnaps can be judged by whether the origin fruit can be identified purely by smell. So…close your eyes, enjoy the aroma and let the Mango Heart transport you to our sunny and bountiful mango orchard.
